The win puts the Thorpe Wood-based club in a commanding position at the head of Division One at the halfway stage of the 10-match season.
The 9-0 win was their third whitewash of the campaign with the team having only dropped sets in a 6-3 win over Deeping and in a tight 5-4 success over Stamford.
The stars of the victory over Bretton Gate-based City of Peterborough were captain Steve Myers and Claude Badowski, who dropped just six games in three matches. They notched a 10-3 win over Bill Skead and Trevor Lewis, an 11-2 success against Rod Gill and Martin Desborough and a 12-1 triumph over Andy Clamp and Andy Stanley.
Mark Taylor and Alan Jordan also had a 10-3 success over Skead and Lewis and an 11-2 win over Gill and Desborough and made it three wins out of three with a 9-4 success over Clamp and Stanley.
Ashley Martin and Matt Hardwick also notched a 10-3 win over Skead and Lewis, before being taken to a tie-break in a 7-6 win over Clamp and Stanley and then completed their matches with a 9-4 success against Gill and Desborough.
Myers said: “With a 100 per cent record at the halfway stage of the season we are in a strong position to retain our title. I’m sure the other teams will be gunning for revenge in the second half of the season, but we will be ready.”
